Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Olga Beleno is the founder and CEO of Spanish Resources. Olga, who is a native Spanish speaker, obtained a degree of BS in Business administration from the Externado of Colombia University in her home country. After graduating, Olga spent 13 years making a successful career as Director of the Financial Department at Organización Corona in Bogotá, Colombia.

Later on, in 1999, Olga and her family settled in the United States, where she soon found a call as a linguist. Since then, Olga has been serving as an interpreter and translator in the legal, medical, financial, and business fields. She has rendered her services as a court interpreter in the judicial system in federal courts, the Commonwealth of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Washington DC. Also in correctional institutions, immigration agencies, community organizations, Social Services settings, real estate firms, hospitals, health care providers, and schools.

With a natural curiosity for the cultural and business worlds in Spanish-speaking countries and in the United States, Olga has dedicated a large part of her career to gaining valuable and extensive knowledge in these areas. Armed with a dual passion for languages and business Olga obtained a degree in Translation Studies from New York University. In 2006, Olga returned to school and earned her MBA from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She has received additional translation and interpreting training at AHEC Blue Ridge at James Madison University, the Supreme Court of Virginia, and the Georgia Commission on Interpreters.

Moreover, Olga is both federally and Virginia Supreme Court-certified interpreter doing simultaneous and consecutive interpreting as part of her regular job. She is an active member of the American Translators Association (ATA), National Capital Area Chapter of the American Translators Association (NCATA), and The National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators (NAJIT).

Olga is focusing her energies on Spanish Resources and the career she really loves and enjoys: translation, interpreting, and Spanish language teaching. She believes in leading and expanding Spanish Resources by a genuine commitment to offering excellent services to her company’s stakeholders.
