SPANISH TEACHING

Spanish language teaching is offered by well-trained Spanish native-speaking instructors. We assess students’ current capabilities, goals, and language learning expectations to develop a program that best suits their needs.

If you are learning to speak Spanish, improve your previous language knowledge, or you are already bilingual who wants to learn more about the language and cultural heritage, at Spanish Resources we understand the need to use different pedagogies in an effective manner. We provide you with numerous opportunities to develop your language and communication skills while discovering the Hispanic culture.

We understand the manners, customs, history, geography, social institutions, contemporary events, and ranges of cultural expressions of societies that use the Spanish language. Our teachers help students use Spanish to acquire cultural knowledge.

WHY LEARN SPANISH?

Spanish is spoken by almost 400 million people worldwide.

In the United States Spanish is the second most widely spoken language after English.

Phonetically, Spanish is nearly perfect which makes it easy to learn.

Spanish can open the door to understanding many millions of other people who speak other romance Languages such as Italian, Portuguese or French.

Understanding a language means understanding some fine, culturally enriching aspects of different societies.

In order to stay competitive in our economically driven world, it is imperative to know more about other cultures and how they think.

Projections for the Spanish-speaking population within the United States show that it is becoming a larger percentage of the total population.

 

Current Classes

Course Title:       Advanced Conversational Spanish

Instructor:           Professional Native-Spanish Speakers

Description:        Eight two-hour sessions are offered once a week on Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Program Objectives:

 

  • Help students develop strong conversational skills
  • Improve their ability for self-expression
  • Expand their active vocabulary
  • Gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Hispanic cultural
  • Use Spanish in a natural context
  • Improve their ability to think critically
  • Raise pertinent questions and seek answers

 

Note: An interview will be conducted to determine prospective students’ level of Spanish fluency.
